April Holiday program: MYTH, FANTASY, HEROES & VILLAINS!

Update 13/03/19: 3 places remaining

Our two most popular holiday program concepts combine in this four day drama program for children with big imaginations and a love of stories inspired by myth, fantasy, heroes and villains…

4 day program: 8.45am - 5pm Monday 15 - Thursday 18 April 2019

This will be a fabulously fun week of drama as children ages 6-12 work towards a performance inspired by their favourite characters and creatures from narratives of myth, fantasy, heroes and villains! From ancient Greek gods like Hades and Aphrodite to fantastical characters from the Hobbit or Harry Potter and heroes of Marvel and DC- there is something for everyone! Performers are encouraged to bring their own ideas and interests to the program as we work collaboratively on a play for parents, family and friends.

Performers who have already undertaken this course are welcome to enrol again as every time is different, drawing on the imagination and performance interests of the group.

Suitable for beginners as well as more experienced performers, this program facilitated by a professional and experienced drama educator helps students develop confidence and performance skills in a supportive environment. Students will have fun acting, improvising, playing theatre sports and developing their own production for family and friends.

Places are limited and bookings are essential.

Location: Playing Field Studio, 2 Kingsley St
(corner of Barry Drive), City
Times: 8.45am - 5pm Monday 15 - Thursday 18 April 2019
Cost: $275 for full program

My daughter has been doing the holiday drama classes for three holidays now. She loves being able to come up with the ideas for the show and then act them out. The facilitators have been excellent. We've been so happy that my son asked to do a holiday program once he was old enough and had such a great time as well. I can't recommend the holiday classes enough. - Sam, Chapman

"Both my children loved their first Budding Theatre holiday program. The activities and guidance with the children helped them go through the stages of group formation and performance, despite different personalities and ideas. The class size was perfect." - Anon.

My son participated in the July school holiday program. He had a fantastic time making new friends and learning lots of new skills. It was a whole week of fun for him!” - Lisa, Higgins

My son and daughter both attended the Heroes and Villains holiday program and thoroughly enjoyed it. The program gave them a full week of fun drama antics and culminated with a terrific show for parents to watch. Awesome holiday program and with longer days than many holiday courses, it’s good for working parents too. - Bridget Johnson, Kaleen

The October School Holiday program was our first encounter after happening upon the holiday program on FB. Our 7 year old daughter really enjoyed the holiday program and was well entertained the whole 4 days. - Briony, Farrer
