January Holiday program: MOVIEWORLD DRAMA!

5 day program: 8.45am - 5pm Monday 14 - Friday 18 January 2019

Imagine if all the favourite movie characters of a class of young performers ended up in the same play?!

Facilitated by playwright/director Kirsty Budding who specialises in writing unique scripts adapted to the imaginations and skills of individual performer groups, this will be a fabulously fun week of drama as children ages 6-12 work towards a movie-worthy performance for family and friends on Friday 5pm.

Suitable for beginners as well as more experienced performers, this five-day drama program helps students develop confidence and performance skills in a supportive environment. Students will have fun acting, improvising, playing theatre sports and developing their own production for family and friends, taking inspiration from characters from performers’ favourites films and TV shows.

Each student is encouraged to express themselves by bringing their own ideas to the rehearsal room as we develop a performance that reflects the participants' interests and passions. Based in a city location with an experienced drama teacher, places are limited and bookings are essential.

Location: Playing Field Studio, 2 Kingsley St
(corner of Barry Drive), City
Times: 8.45am - 5pm Monday 14 - Friday 18 January 2019
Cost: $275 for five day program

My daughter has been doing the holiday drama classes for three holidays now. She loves being able to come up with the ideas for the show and then act them out. The facilitators have been excellent. We've been so happy that my son asked to do a holiday program once he was old enough and had such a great time as well. I can't recommend the holiday classes enough. - Sam, Chapman

"Both my children loved their first Budding Theatre holiday program. The activities and guidance with the children helped them go through the stages of group formation and performance, despite different personalities and ideas. The class size was perfect." - Anon.

My son participated in the July school holiday program. He had a fantastic time making new friends and learning lots of new skills. It was a whole week of fun for him!” - Lisa, Higgins

My son and daughter both attended the Heroes and Villains holiday program and thoroughly enjoyed it. The program gave them a full week of fun drama antics and culminated with a terrific show for parents to watch. Awesome holiday program and with longer days than many holiday courses, it’s good for working parents too. - Bridget Johnson, Kaleen

The October School Holiday program was our first encounter after happening upon the holiday program on FB. Our 7 year old daughter really enjoyed the holiday program and was well entertained the whole 4 days. - Briony, Farrer
